The A6061 and A7075 used for the body and rim are both aluminum alloys, but their densities differ slightly. By using this difference to shift weight toward the rim, the yo-yo generates powerful spin from the moment it leaves your hand, and that spin lasts a long time. At the same time, it avoids the abrupt, layered feel of a bimetal made from entirely different materials, offering the smooth, unified feel of a single-metal design.
