The Azurite is the monometal version of the Azul, the signature model of Igarashi Ryo, one of Japan's top competitive players. The body is machined from A7075 aluminum, a material harder and stronger than standard aluminum alloys. Shape and dimensions carry over from the Azul unchanged.
Controllability is the defining characteristic of this model. The Azurite traces the intended line precisely, conveying the player's movements to the yo-yo without distortion. The mid-section of the body, where the Azul used a PC element, features groove detailing on the Azurite, serving at once as a visual callback to the original, an aesthetic accent, and a contributor to the overall feel.
